For those of you that don’t know, Dukkah originated in Egypt, and is enjoyed as a dip with crusty bread or vegetables, even though its texture isn’t paste like.

It can also be a great addition to soups, or as a topping on well, anything really.

It is super easy to make at home, and be sure to keep it in an airtight container. It is usually made with hazelnuts, mint, coriander and cumin with loads of salt and pepper, all crushed up together.

I decided to use a packet of mixed nuts, with cumin, coriander, dried oregano, parsley and loads of salt and black pepper. Oh, and just a little bit of savory seasoning for extra flavor.

Such a simple recipe, but it tastes amazing and shouts out SUMMER, big time! Let me know how you like to enjoy Dukkah, and I might try it out. I’m sold!
