Flavoured Rice

This recipe of Flavoured Rice originated out of boredom for always making rice the same way over and over again.  This to me is a great way to add flavor to a dish, by simply adding a few extra ingredients to the normal way we cook and serve rice.

This is an excellent dish to use as a side for any main meal.  It is particularly great to use with fish dishes, as I served my flavoured rice with beautiful grilled calamari.  It is also a very versatile dish, so feel free to add your own combination of ingredients to your rice and you will end up with a wonderful aromatic, tasty side dish.

Flavored Rice

I used basmati rice, as the fragrance of it is just so fresh and delicate.  I also added a little bit of garlic, a squeeze of lemon juice, fresh chilli with peppers and onions.

This rice side dish can also be transformed into an Indian flavor by adding some crushed cumin and coriander seeds.  Fresh herbs will work exceptionally well with this recipe of Flavoured Rice.  Really, the world is your oyster – you simply cannot go wrong when experimenting with this type of thing. Hope you enjoy!
