Smoothie Ice Pops

One of the best things about living in South Africa is the amazing summer season.  Summer in South Africa sure is great.  We should all feel really blessed…

Smoothie Ice Cream Pops

It is the perfect time of the year to try your hand at making your own ice cream.  Even though I never tried it before (it is on my to-do list ok!) this recipe of Smoothie Ice Pops sure does make a pretty good second.

Smoothie Ice Cream Pops

My Smoothie Ice Pops originated out of pure frustration, believe me.  Not the type of frustration from being too hot – but trying to get the little kid in our house to have something else than bottles and bottles of oros.

So in the blender went a banana, 3 small tubs of strawberry yogurt and half a glass of guava juice.  He nearly had a small fit when he saw these little beauties come out the freezer.  It wasn’t long before he came back for seconds!

What makes this recipe so versatile and easy, is that you can literally add any fruit, yogurt or juice you have in your kitchen right now.  These plastic ice lollie containers are super cheap and very handy to cool those hot busy bodies down in no time!
