Stir Fry Beef and Beetroot Hummus Open Sandwich is where it’s at today folks!
Open Sandwiches. Let us just take a minute to marvel at this genius idea that has been around like since forever. I think sandwiches are seriously underrated. It is practically the easiest way to get a fresh meal on the dinner or lunch plate in minutes.
Even better, using quality CLEAN ingredients for your open sandwich.
I recently teamed up with the folks from Jacksons Real Food Market in Bryanston, Jozi town – to showcase some of their unique, organic, preservative free and #RealHonestFood products. I am particularly excited about the new Jacksons Eatery on their patio (with amazing views over the lush Bryanston greens). They will offer an array of healthy meals, from the low carb pizza range (they have a killer pizza oven), their signature Grass Fed 100% beef burger, low carb cakes and french pastries, Origin coffee bar and sugar/filler free gelato stand and much more…
I’m probably going to hang out there. A lot.
How to make a Stir Fry Beef and Beetroot Hummus Open Sandwich
Three components make up this yummy open sandwich meal.
Firstly, grass fed beef strips gets flash fried with loads of salt. Then, a generous spread of Jacksons Beetroot Hummus makes its appearance. Beautiful exotic tomatoes with black pepper is also added.
Lastly, a sandwich isn’t a sandwich with, let’s face it, good quality bread. I love to use long fermented toasted sourdough slices for this version.
Open Sandwiches for Summer
There are literally millions of different toppings for open sandwiches. With this healthier bread, you can go wild with your toppings. Add your choice of green leaves, spreads and protein.
It’s the perfect summer meal and can feed a crowd in no time.
